Marketing Specialist

WHO WE ARE:

DK Global is the country’s premier litigation visuals firm. We create 3D animated visual presentations for attorneys to use in demand packages, mediations, and trials. WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a Marketing Specialist to join the marketing department in our shared vision to make a positive difference in the lives of those seeking justice. You should be supremely organized, endlessly curious, comfortable in both creative and analytical spaces, and great with people. This is an on-site position that will work at DK Global headquarters in Redlands, CA.

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Marketing Specialist’s role will provide support for DK Global’s day-to-day marketing tactics and campaigns at both a grassroots (i.e., one-on-one) level and an operational level. Successful applicants are comfortable communicating via various media, including email, phone, social media, fax, and postal mail; have experience with digital and/or event marketing; are comfortable giving feedback to colleagues and vendors; and can execute tasks as assigned quickly, efficiently, and effectively to help Marketing achieve its goals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Marketing Specialist is an individual contributor, whose responsibilities primarily fall into six buckets: content marketing, search engine marketing (SEM), client success, marketing research/strategy/planning, event planning/logistics, and administrative.

Content Marketing
DK Global’s marketing leans primarily on social proof, peer-to-peer evangelism, and demonstrating the quality of our product. You will take an active role facilitating content creation. That includes:

  • Schedule and conduct testimonial interviews with DK Global’s clients
  • Obtain client approval to use closed projects for marketing purposes
  • Build and schedule marketing emails
  • Build and schedule social media content, both organic and paid
  • Simple graphic design and video editing with Canva, Envato, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro
  • Collaborate with team to produce and publish podcast episodes
  • Help provide feedback to creatives (both in-house and freelance) for content drafts
  • Publish emails and social media posts in line with content calendar
  • Maintain raw assets (e.g., interview footage, scrubbed animations, etc.) in shared folders so they can be quickly assigned to in-house and freelance creatives

Search Engine Marketing
We also prioritize finding ways to get in front of our audience in meaningful, relevant ways, such as while looking up products and services we offer on search engines. This role helps to ensure our search engine marketing is optimized, including:

  • Regularly meeting with our Google Ads rep
  • Maintaining and cultivating our keyword and negative keyword mix
  • Ensuring our campaign(s) are continuously and effectively running
  • Collaborating to design and launch landing pages
  • Optimizing campaigns to maximize ROAS

Client Success
Our marketing specialist also serves as our point of contact to follow up with clients who received deliverables from us. Tasks include:

  • Making regular emails and phone calls
  • Recording data from interactions like case outcomes and satisfaction scores
  • Connecting dissatisfied customers with sales and/or project teams
  • Gauging clients’ interest in testimonial interviews and return business

Marketing Research, Strategy & Planning
In addition to creative, this role gets to delve into data-oriented analysis and strategy. You will:

  • Maintain research spreadsheet of competitors
  • Maintain research and calendar of upcoming trade shows/events
  • Maintain an archive of pricing options for new promotional swag

Event Planning & Logistics
Trade shows are a cornerstone of DK Global’s new client acquisition. The marketing department owns the scheduling, planning, logistics, and promotion for all events. The Marketing Specialist will play an important role in:

  • Prepare a master overview and budget for each show
  • Schedule kick-off and status meetings with marketing team and cross-departmental stakeholders
  • Logistical tasks, including exhibit booth selection, booking flights, hotel reservations, and rideshare/rental car(s)
  • Assist with payments to shows for exhibit booths and exhibitor services
  • Help to pack and prepare booth equipment (e.g., tables, monitors, backdrop(s), etc.)
  • Track and inventory tradeshow hardware, including backdrops, tables, swag, etc.
  • Collaborate with team to organize our own events
  • Setting up Zoom webinars for owned CLE presentations

Administrative
Last, but certainly not least, the Marketing Specialist will manage the team and help with a variety of administrative needs that keep our marketing operations flowing smoothly, including:

  • Postage and shipping
  • Procurement of marketing materials (e.g., plaques, swag, print collateral, etc.)
  • Emails and social media posts for team milestones, like birthdays and work anniversaries
  • Fielding and directing incoming phone calls

Finally, we are a fairly small company. This role supports a Marketing Project Coordinator and the CMO. We all wear many hats, so there will likely be other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred (Communication, public relations, marketing, or related field a plus but not required)
  • Minimum 5 years in marketing, communications, public relations, or event planning.
  • Understanding of social media platforms and engagement
  • Google Ads and/or G4 Google Analytics certifications a plus
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and email marketing platforms like Constant Contact.
  • Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High comfort level with business phone calls, video calls, and emails.
  • Exhibits conceptual knowledge of company identity, mission, and goals.
  • Ability to think both creatively and analytically.
  • Deadline-oriented, inquisitive, with great follow-up and reporting skills.
  • Responds well under pressure with strict time limits.
  • Quick and enthusiastic learner.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: 40 hours per week

Compensation Range: $22-28/hr (We value our employees’ time and believe your time should be compensated accordingly. This position will be paid on an hourly basis with overtime as needed.)
